A FAMILLE ROSE VASE, FIRST HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY
of extremely delicate porcelain, painted in fine brush strokes with Guanyin seated in blue robes within a grotto, a long poem inscribed in black to the upper edge of the vase, the rim and base with fine hanging beading and ruyi-head motifs in blue enamels, Qianlong four-character mark to underside in blue enamels -- 8in. (20.5cm.) high.
Provenance
Received as a wedding gift 1st May 1948.
