A BLUE AND WHITE SQUARE SECTIONED BOTTLE VASE, WANLI (1753-1619)
painted to two panels with a scholar standing within a fenced garden, the alternating panels variously with two attendants and a solitary figure with long handled fan, all within garden scenes and amongst pine and rockwork, the shoulders with a beaded ruyi-head apron, the cylindrical neck with cloud scrolls -- 9½in. (24cm.) high.
