Lot Essay

King Edward VIII and Queen Alexandra lived at Marlborough house as Prince and Princess of Wales until the Prince succeeded his mother as King in 1901. Queen Alexandra returned nine years later, after the death of her husband in 1910 and lived there until her death in 1925.
