Oblong, the sloping front enamelled in blue over and engine turned ground, applied with an initial M below a Royal princess' coronet, with a similar gilt-metal pen, marked on back, the side stamped PRINTATOR BRITISH AND FOREIGN PATENTS 147985-201431-274636, the base stamped J.C.VICKERY REGENT ST. W.1.,
7¾ in. (19.6 cm.) long
The initial is that of The Princess Mary, later The Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood (1897-1965), sister of Prince George, Duke of Kent (1902-1942) and only daughter of King George V (1865-1936).
