Each stained with the initial 'G' within the Garter motto and below Royal duke's coronet, comprising:
Sixty table-knives
Twenty-three cheese-knives
Three carving-forks
Three carving-knives
A steel
all contained in a brass-bound three drawer oak canteen, the hinged cover applied with a shield with engraved inscription, with spaces for further knives
the case 22½ in. (57 cm.) wide
The inscription reads 'PRESENTED TO H.R.H. THE DUKE OF KENT, K.G. on the occasion of his Marriage BY THE RESIDENTS OF THE BOROUGH OF WINDSOR AND NEIGHBOURHOOD NOVEMBER 1934 G.E. SHORT MAYOR'.
