Oblong and on four leaf feet, the hinged cover applied with a coat-of-arms and engraved inside with an inscription, containing a key, velvet lined, marked underneath
10 7/8 in. (27.7 cm.) wide
The arms are those of the City of Lima.
The inscription reads 'LA MUNICIPALIDAD DE LIMA A S.A.R. Duquesa de Kent HUESPED ILUSTRE Dé LA CUIDAD Lima, 2 de Marzo de 1959'.

Provenance
Presented to Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent (1906-1968) by the Mayor of Lima, Senor Garcia Ribeyro, during a ceremony at the City Hall. The key is a replica of the original key to the city.
