A GEORGE V SCOTTISH SILVER PRESENTATION CASKET
MARK OF HAMILTON AND INCHES, EDINBURGH, 1935
Oblong and on four block feet, the borders and feet each with a band of Celtic knots, the hinged cover applied with two similar bracket hinges, the cover engraved with a coat-of-arms, the front engraved with an inscription, the interior velvet lined, marked on side, the base further engraved 'HAMILTON & INCHES EDINBURGH'
9 in. (22.8 cm.) long
The arms are those of the City of Edinburgh.

The inscription reads 'Presented by The Corporation of Edinburgh along with the Burgess Ticket conferring the Freedom of the City on HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE DUKE OF KENT K.G., K.T., G.C.M.G., D.C.V.O., 20th May 1935. The Rt Hon. Sir William J. Thomson, L.L.D., Lord Provost'.
