A MEISSEN BULLET-SHAPED TEAPOT AND A COVER
CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, INDISTINCT INCISED MARK
With a gilt-edged bird's head spout and wishbone handle, the body painted with a cut pear and scattered ombrierte insects including a large stag beetle, below an ozier-moulded border, the shallow-domed cover similarly decorated below a gilt cone finial, the cover attached with a gilt-metal chain to a collar on the handle (teapot with hole to body discreetly restored, slight wear to gilding of upper rim, cover with minute wear to gilding)
