SIGNED THOS BAYLEY, LONDON, CIRCA 1780
CASE: the arched hood with pierced crest and three ball finials flanked by stop-fluted Corinthian columns, the case with similar quarter-columns and arched door, brass capitals to quarter columns of case replaced, the base with cut-corner panels and later shaped skirting, satinwood fan spandrels,
DIAL: brass dial with silvered chapter ring, matte center and seconds dial, calendar aperture and maker's plaque and strike/silent in the arch, scroll and dolphin spandrels
MOVEMENT: with anchor escapement, five knopped pillars and striking the hour on a bell; brass and lead pendulum, 2 brass-encased weights, a key and a winder
