A STAFFORDSHIRE FIGURE OF A BATSMAN AND WICKET-KEEPER
mid 19th century, the batsman stands to the right and wears a round hat, the wicket-keeper squats behind the stumps bare-headed, both are in open shirts and blue jackets with gilt trim, on common rounded base -- 165mm. (6in.) high. Pugh F456 (plate 4, fig. 6): "rare" and "desirable".
