Frst published in Cricket in nine parts between 27 October 1904 and 4 May 1905. Among many other feats, Ashley-Cooper relates how Colin Blythe delivered his first 12 overs for one run against Sussex at Tunbridge Wells, 11-13 July, 'that being all that was scored from his bowling in one hour'; in the Sussex second innings, Ranjitsinhji nevertheless scored 135 out of 179 in 125 minutes.
