DARWIN, Charles (1809-1882). Autograph letter signed ('Ch. Darwin') to an unidentified recipient, Down, 28 December n.y. [1870], thanking his correspondent for offering to translate 'my new book' [Descent of Man] into Dutch, but Hermanus Hartogh Heijs van Zoutereen has already undertaken the task, and publication is imminent, one page, 8vo, laid onto an album leaf with six other letters and signatures.
