Engraved title in each part, 116 plates (half-title, title and 2 following leaves with margins extended to size, wormtrack through plates 28-36 in part one, some other light marginal worming). FIRST EDITION. Berlin Kat. 889.

The two works uniformly bound in 18th-century mottled calf gilt, spines in seven compartments with raised bands, red morocco lettering-piece in one, the others with repeat elephant crest and surrounding small tools (later lettering-pieces, lightly rubbed and a little scuffed). Provenance: SIR ANDREW FOUNTAINE (sold at Christie's 27 Nov 1996, lot 302)
