Illustrated throughout, including some chromolithographs, lithographed titles after designs by Konstantin Somov and Ivan Bilibin. (Some tears and a few chips.) 20th-century red half roan, preserving the original printed wrappers designed by Lansere (extremities worn, covers of vol. 3 detached, one cover strengthened with tape, some paper wrappers trimmed). Provenance: Library of Congress (binding, bookplates, and de-accession stamps).
