With twist octagonal barrel decorated with inlaid raised silver bands, another over the back-sight, gold-lined maker's stamp, and retained by six plain silver bands, iron lock partly overlaid with silver, maple full stock, the rear portion inlaid with shaped horn plaques and clusters of small brass wire rings filled with segmented inlays, enriched with minute brass nails and domed silver nails, the rear portion of the butt formed of walnut studded with silver nails, and the breech area overlaid with engraved solid silver panels and beneath with pierced silver foliage
