The first with 11¾in browned twist barrel with octagonal breech, German silver sight and retained by a single band of German silver, flat lock signed 'G. Francotte, Liège' and marked 'S.G.' crowned over 168, fitted with pivoted gravity-stop and the hammer formed with finger-ring, walnut half-stock, the butt with iron-mounted aperture for a detachable shoulder-stock, German silver trigger-guard, and variously marked en suite with the lock; the second with St. Etienne lock, walnut half-stock, and regulation mounts with lanyard-ring
