A PAIR OF JADEITE CARVINGS
Comprising two matching jadeite plaques of pale lavender colour suffused with bright green section and good translucency, carved as six fish swimming underneath the lotus leaves, representing the rebus 'may you have surplus year after year', on the reverse side carved as a pair of mandarin ducks symbolising 'a long harmonious marriage', to the wooden stand, plaques approximately 8.4 x 8.0 x 1.8 and 7.7 x 8.0 x 1.7 cm
Accompanied by report no. KJ44083 dated 24 August 2009 from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory stating that the plaque is natural jadeite and no polymer is detected (2)
