Peter Strausfeld (1910-1980), produced a number of distinctive posters for the Academy Cinema on Oxford Street, which closed in the early 1980s. Over 300 posters for various films were designed in all and, in the early years, only a maximum of 100 were printed for each title. In the mid-1970s, the print run increased to 300.
