The inkstand modelled as an orange with leaf finial, the interior with a removable well and three pen apertures, supported on a gilt-line starburst dish encrusted with coloured flowers and leaves; the pair of inkwells modelled as three purple-striped tulip blossoms flanking two pierced apertures, each on an oval base on three paw feet
