QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)

With low flaring sides, the interior finely carved in high relief with a musical chime suspended from ribbons, tied into an eternal knot above and flanked on either side with a pair of wan symbols, all enclosed within eight interlocked ruyi heads, the well-polished stone of even semi-translucent tone
5 1/2 in. (14 cm.) diam.

Acquired in China in the late 19th century and thence by descent to the present owner
