A GREEK SILVER FINGER RING
ARCHAIC PERIOD, CIRCA LATE 6TH CENTURY B.C.
Formed from a solid bar, circular in section, hammered flat to give a diamond-shaped bezel, then bent back upon itself and soldered, the bezel engraved with a palmette, punctuated by three gold studs, enclosed within a hatched border, additional hatching on the bezel sides
