by the Imperial Porcelain Service, St Petersburg, period of Alexander II, circa 1865
Circular, on conforming spreading gilt foot, and with everted gilt rim, the white ground body painted with a multi-coloured upper and lower border of geometric design, marked under base with green underglaze Cyrillic monogram 'A II' beneath the Imperial Russian crown
3 3/8 in. (8.7 cm.) high, 11¼ in. (28.5 cm.) diameter of the bowl, 6 in. (15.3 cm.) diameter of the base
