A Porcelain Cup And Saucer
by the Popov Factory, Moscow, circa 1810
Cylindrical, on conforming foot, with everted rim, the white ground body heavily gilded and decorated with a horizontal laurel-wreath garland flanked by two thin bands on a thick blue ground band, the lower body decorated with an arched foliate design, the handle with gilt detail and above with moulded white ground bead detail, the circular saucer similarly decorated, marked under base with dark blue underglaze Cyrillic monogram 'AP'
