Circular, the centre with moulded and painted wheat sheaf with scythe, rake and flail, with a view of a village in the background and inscribed in Russian 'Bread. Salt' on the ribbon below, the wide border simulating wood, decorated above with an 'All-seeing Eye' and with the Russian inscription 'The conversation is poor without salt and bread', gilt rim, marked with green underglaze factory stamp
