UNMARKED EXCEPT FOR A SWEDISH CONTROL MARK, 2ND HALF OF 19TH CENTURY
The ovoid body engraved with a frieze of mythical beasts flanking vacant cartouches, the handles formed as Classical female masks with horns extending from the head and linked by ivory grips, the pedestal foot raised on four claw supports, each with an ivory pad beneath, the top with detachable anthemion-pierced collar centred by a domed cover with artichoke finial, the faceted leaf-capped spout with twin scroll tap, the base with hinged aperture held in place by a butterfly nut.
