A preparatory sketch for the miniature of Adélaïde de Saint-Germain, Countess de Montalivet (1769-1850) full-length, seated on a sofa in an interior, inscribed "Mme La C.tesse de Montalivet"; pencil and ink on paper, rectangular -- 186 x 147 mm, gilt-metal frame; together with a sketch of a young lady reclining on in armchair and holding a kerchief in her left hand, inscribed "esquisse"; circa 1815; pencil on paper, rectangular -- 175 x 145 mm, gilt-metal frame.
