Swamped octagonal barrel signed and struck to the top GR in square cartouche and G. RENNOIS, engraved and relief cast barrel, foliate engraved lock, moulded figured walnut stock carved with scrolling acanthus and scrollwork, the butt with cheek piece inlaid with a star, the tang of the butt-plate with figures and scrolling foliage, octagonal ramrod pipes, later horn tipped ramrod, inventory number in ink II 5 187F and inventory label 164
