BY CLAUDE I SENE, CIRCA 1780, THE TAPESTRY PROBABLY BEAUVAIS
Each with a rectangular back, padded arms and seat covered in close-nailed tapestry depicting arrow-filled quivers with bow, flowering torches and floral garlands, the entrelac-carved back with foliate finials, above foliate-wrapped arms with curved supports, and a conformingly-carved seatrail, on turned tapering fluted legs headed by rosette paterae and terminating in toupie feet, stamped G.SENE
