Lot Essay

Homington was the next village to Coombe Bissett where Henry Lamb lived with his family. Lamb painted several views of Homington and its church. Henrietta Phipps comments 'My father would walk around these villages whenever he could. He enjoyed painting landscapes for pleasure as a change from commissioned portraits.'
