A FINE SERIES OF DRAWINGS FOR THE HOUSEHOLD EDITION OF COPPERFIELD, including the title drawing. The Household Edition intended to replace Hablot K. Browne's illustrations with more realistic renderings, and Barnard was hired to produce the new embellishments. The larger format of this edition allowed for more illustrations and larger print. The majority of Barnard's drawings occupied a half page.
