In the Antique manner, the vented cover surmounted by a sphinx finial, the body flanked by twin eagle headed scroll handles and lion masks, the silver plaque with indistinct mark, probably by Thomas Hayter, London, 1806, on a phoenix shaft and stepped moulded base, on bun feet
