Provenance: gift of Dean Hauxley to Sarah Widdrington, 1802 (inscriptions on front blank and title of both vols; the later vol. with memorial leaf to Sarah's "lamented child", Eliza Cook, sewn in: "died at Glasgow on the 24th of February 1820 in her twenty fourth year ... this is the case of books from which I taught her geography"). FIRST EDITION of the Grammar, second edition of the Dictionary; and 11 other small vols., including The British Compendium (1719). (13)
