Lot Essay

The design of these candlesticks can be attributed to Tiffany designer Charles B. Blake. Another example of his work in the Moderne style is the five-light candelabrum designed for the 1939-40 New York World's Fair, illus. John Loring, Magnificent Tiffany Silver, 2001, p. 246.
