A Gilt Bronze Figure of Buddha
Tibet, 15th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with beaded rims, the hands in bhumisparsamudra, clad in a flowing sheer sanghati with beaded hems and inset with a single hardstone, the face centered by a raised urna, the curled locks of hair pulled over the ushnisha and topped with a knop, with remains of cold gold and polychromy, the base sealed and incised with a double-vajra
