A bronze figure of Chaturbhuja Avalokiteshvara
Tibet, 14th century
Seated in dhyanasana over a double-lotus base with beaded rims, the primary hands in anjalimudra and holding a lotus and mala, wearing a long dhoti and multiple necklaces, the face with heavy-lidded eyes centered by an urna and flanked by pendulous earlobes, the hair pulled into a high chignon topped with a finial and secured with a foliate tiara tied by ribbons
