Lot Essay

Nathaniel Charles Rothschild (May 9th 1877 - October 12th 1923) was an English banker and entomologist and a member of the Rothschild banking family. He lived in London and his country Estate of Ashton Wold, Northamptonshire. The later ownership initials were probably engraved on the occasion of his marriage in 1907.
