Of rectangular form with twin-flap hinged ratcheted top inlaid with an oval enclosed by quadrant angles and banding, the interior writing-surface lined in green baize, above two walnut-veneer-lined end-drawers, the lower drawer with a lock and compartments for ink-wells, one drawer inscribed in crayon '19/560', the top probably late 17th century and from a cabinet door
