etching with drypoint, 1641, with an indistinct watermark, a good impression of the second, final state, still printing with burr, some wear beginning to show on the fur collar, beard and book, trimmed on or just inside the platemark on three sides, with thread margins in places, trimmed to or fractionally into the subject above, a few very pale, unobtrusive foxmarks mainly visible verso, generally in good condition
