Gouache on paper heightened with gilt, with four columns of nasta'liq on a floral gold ground above and below, both paintings depicting a king in combat, the first an interior scene with women enthroned looking on, and the second an outdoor scene with rocky landscape, men bearing gifts below, within floral gilt decorated margins - 11 x 6 1/4in (28 x 16cm) (2)
