AN EGYPTIAN GESSO-PAINTED WOOD FUNERARY FRAGMENT
CIRCA 3RD-1ST CENTURY B.C. .
With scene of deceased making offering to the Apis bull, flanked by seated ibis-headed Thoth figure, a wedjat-eye necklace above, with Horus with spread wings above, mounted, 59 x 50 cm.; and another funerary fragment, with Maat figures either side of two Anubis jackals, mounted, 19 x 32 cm. (2)
