A LARGE GROUP OF CLASSICAL BRONZE FIBULAE, COSMETIC VESSELS AND IMPLEMENTS
CIRCA 8TH CENTURY B.C.-2ND CENTURY A.D., AND LATER
Including two Phrygian fibulae, the flattened semicircular arcs with applied hollow bosses, circa 8th Century B.C., 7 cm. diam.; an Etruscan fibula, with incised boat-shaped bow, the long pin secured by the folded catch plate, circa 7th Century B.C., 11.4 cm. long; and two other fragmentary fibulae, 9.2 cm. long max.; an Italic bronze belt buckle, with incised palmette terminal, four rivets for attachment, 11.3 cm. long; six miniature cosmetic vessels and unguent bottles, 9.7 cm. high max.; a bronze pendant necklace, 33 cm. long; a tweezers with serrated pincers; a miniature sword-shaped pincers, 8 cm. long max.; and various other items including keys, rings and fibulae, some not ancient (32)
