Lot Essay

The present owner's great-grandmother showed the frame, which still houses this work, to Pokhitonov and asked him to paint a picture for it. Pokhitonov obliged and the present work is the result.

This work will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné prepared by Olivier Bertrand.
