Gilt-finished three quarter plate jewelled duplex movement, bimetallic compensation balance, gold cuvette, white enamel dial signed COMPTEUR DE VITESSE KILOMETRIQUE Pat. No., blue, red and black timing scales, outer black hectometre scale, plain circular case, inlaid blue enamel Roman numerals to the glazed aperture in the front, inlaid blue enamel coat-of-arms to the hinged back, chronograph button in the band, case and cuvette numbered and stamped with London date letters for 1887/1888, case stamped with casemaker's initials AS for Alfred Strahm, movement signed and numbered
