Lot Essay

With Vacheron Constantin Certificate of Origin dated 6 July 2009, République et Canton de Genève Certificat d'Origine dated 6 January 2009, polishing cloth, personal organizer containing product literature and instructions, veneered presentation box and outer packaging.

The "American 1921" from Vacheron Constantin's "Historiques" collection was inspired by an avant-garde wristwatch made in a very small series for the North American market during the Roaring Twenties.

The model is distinguished by its cushion-shaped case with the crown positioned at one o'clock, the sand-blasted finished dial with black painted Breguet numerals and black oxidized Breguet hands.

The glazed case back reveals the in-house developed and manufactured new cal. 4400 movement stamped with the prestigious Geneva seal.
