(Lacking the portrait and ?half-title, frontispiece detached, slightly soiled and torn at edges, plates 15-16 cleanly but severely torn, plate 12 with 80mm. clean tear, some creasing and some fraying to plate edges, title and a1 soiled and torn at upper margin, 4P1 with long marginal tear, some old stains.) Contempoary speckled calf (upper cover detached, spine torn with loss at head). Provenance: S.E. Widdrington, Newton Hall (bookplate).
