A FRENCH PARCEL-GILT AND POLYCHROME-DECORATED MIRROR AND CONSOLE
OF LOUIS XV STYLE, LATE 19TH/20TH CENTURY
The mirror carved overall with C-scrolls and rockwork, with shaped rectangular plate, the cresting centred by a cartouche depicting putti; the conformingly-carved console with serpentine-fronted Rouge de Maine marble top above a pierced apron, the curved supports joined by a shaped stretcher with floral cartouche
The mirror: 90¼ x 37 in. (229 x 94 cm.); the console: 30½ in. (77.5 cm.) high; 36½ in. (92.5 cm.) wide; 15¾ in. (40 cm.) deep
