A LARGE CORINTHIAN POTTERY KOTYLE
MID 6TH CENTURY B.C.
Finely potted, decorated on the exterior with a frieze of interlocking alternate crimson and black lotus buds between crimson and black encircling bands, a row of short wavy lines below the rim, rays emanating from the base, the interior black glazed, with a crimson band around the rim, a double band around the middle and a thick band around the tondo, the underside of the base with central dot and concentric bands of varying thickness
