The scroll handle with a Frauenkopf thumbpiece, the body painted with peasants in landscapes within gilt quatrefoil cartouches, the cover similarly decorated below a gilt foliage-scroll finial, the mount with a shell thumbpiece (restored chip to lip with associated crack, restored chip to finial)
