CIRCA 1745, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, THE MOUNTS CONTEMPORARY
Of quatrefoil section, painted with lovers in wooded landscapes flanked by gold-ground panels reserved with flowers, the front with a silver-gilt tap with a dog's head spiggot, on pierced scroll feet entwined with flowering branches, the mounted cover similarly decorated (minute chipping to flowers, interior flange of cover ground to fit mount)
