CIRCA 1730-35, THE STAND WITH TWO INCISED LINES
The beaker with gilt foliage-moulded angular handles, the shaped oval stand with a pierced central gallery, painted in Schwarzlot and lightly gilt, each with two quatrefoil panels of figures before buildings flanked by shaped diaper panels joined by foliage scrolls and shell cartouches, the lower part of the beaker with a band of strapwork and diaper-panelled quatrefoils, with gilt band borders, the underside of the stand with trailing branches (rim of stand with re-touching to gilding and gallery restored)
The stand 7 in. (17.8 cm.) wide
